Born in 1990. Poet, activist, and vegan. She is currently based in the suburbs, where she writes and works as a translator. Her interests include sketching, exploring vegan cafés and traveling.

After studying criminal law at university, she married and became a full-time homemaker. Following a divorce, she entered the Graduate School of Letters at Waseda University to study contemporary literature. During her graduate studies, her work appeared in Eureka, and she made her poetry debut in the anthology Hidden Authors. She later published her first poetry collection It Might Not Be Painful and her second book In the Country of the Lost, while founding and leading the literary collective Platon and Plankton.

In 2020, after experiencing sexual harassment by a faculty member during graduate school, she founded the group “Don’t Overlook Harassment in Universities.” Since then, she has continued to speak publicly about sexual violence, harassment, and institutional abuse in academia. Through this activism, she became vegan and began centering questions of animal ethics in both her creative practice and social engagement.

In 2022, she was invited to the poetry festival at the University of Canberra in Australia, where she participated in readings and collaborative work with writers, researchers, and translators. Several of her poems have been translated into English; her poem “Listening to the Sea” was published in Rabbit: A Journal for Nonfiction Poetry (Australia) in 2023.

Her publications include the poetry collections It Might Not Be Painful (Shichigatsudo) and In the Country of the Lost (Kankanbou). She supervised the picture book Mama Fox & Baby Fox (Gendai Shokan, 2025). Her work also appears in anthologies such as Hidden Authors (Planet and Whistle Books) and Girl in the Dark (Kodansha). She contributed to the Japanese subtitles for the documentary film Christspiracy and, beginning in 2025, writes book reviews for the literary newspaper Toshoshinbun.

She is currently involved in multiple ongoing collaborative projects. Since 2023, she has co-hosted the series of public roundtables “Social Movements Through the Lens of Animals” with activists Takeshi Ikuta and Ryuko Kurita. In 2024, she launched the podcast Moya-Nomi with writer and actor Midori Suiren, and in 2025 she began producing the podcast Manga Wacha-Wacha Reading Club.

She is currently working on her third poetry collection, Listening to the Sea.
